Metropolitan Transportation Authority Casey Stengel Depot
Casey Stengel Depot (Depot Code: CS) is one of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority's 30 depots. It provides the buses for almost all of northeastern Queens' routes. The depot originally was built by the North Shore Bus Company and was inherited by the NYCTA when it absorbed said company in 1947. After briefly closing for renovations, the depot reopened in the early 1950s as the Flushing Depot On August 16th, 1992, the Flushing Depot was renamed the Casey Stengel Depot after a brief renovation. The depot is operated by the New York City Transportation Authority.
