Milwaukee County Transit System is the fixed-route and paratransit service provider for the city and county of Milwaukee, Wisconsin
History
Public transit operations began in Milwaukee during 1860. The service consisted of two horse drawn cars. [4]
On July 1, 1975, Milwaukee County took over the bus system and established the Milwaukee County Transit System.
Overview
According to the 2010 Annual Report[5], the MCTS system covers 241 square miles, and serves a population of 959,521.
