Mississauga Transit 0501-0572

MiWay 0501-0572 are New Flyer D40LF buses built in 2005.

Originally a order for 37 buses placed in early 2005, the order was expanded to 72 buses in April 2005 to allow the replacement of 21 60 foot buses (9350-9370) with 35 40 foot buses.

Delivery began in June 2005, and the buses began entering service in July 2005. Upon entering service, these buses replaced 8601-8609, 8610, 8801-8825, and 9350-9370, with the rest of the buses expanding the fleet.

Retirement of these buses began in 2020. As of February 2023, 57 buses remain in service.
