The Motor Coach Industries D4020 ISTV is the next generation of Inmate Security Transport Vehicles. As with its predecessors, the vehicle is only available in the 40-foot length, and is based on the D4020. Its powertrain consists of the Cummins X12 engine and B500 Gen VI transmission. The coach has capacity for up to 70 inmates, as well as seating for security personnel. The coaches are fully customizable to meet the needs of correctional facilities.
The new ISTV was unveiled in August 2023 at a conference in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
