The Motor Coach Industries D45 CRT CHARGETM, part of MCI's next-generation D-Series, is a battery-electric commuter coach available in Canada and the United States. Unlike the D45 CRT LE CHARGE, the D45 CRT CHARGE does not have a low entry section near the middle. Instead, a lift is used for boarding mobility devices. MCI launched the D45 CRT CHARGE on September 28, 2022.
The D45 CRT CHARGE uses NMC batteries from XALT that can be charged in under four hours. The coach has a range of 251 to 402 kilometres or 156 to 250 miles.
