The Neoplan USA AN459 was a customized articulated high floor bus built for New Jersey Transit. It was essentially an AN460, but one foot shorter to address clearance issues at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan. 85 units were built, 49 with transit seating and 36 with suburban (forward-facing) seating.
The buses ran in revenue service until February 26, 2021, when enough New Flyer XD60 diesel articulated buses were put into service to replace them. 9503 was the final unit in regular revenue service.
