The New Flyer Industries D40LFR is a restyled version of the popular D40LF model. It features a curved front end, as well as a smoother rear end with recessed taillights. The majority of the bus remains the same as the D40LF.
The last D40LFR buses were produced in 2013. By January 2014, the D40LFR was no longer offered. Its replacement in the New Flyer lineup is the XD40.
