New Jersey Transit 6539-6549 are 2013 NABI 416.15 buses. They are part of a large order of 1299 NABI buses approved on January 23, 2007.

History

In 2022, NJ Transit announced that 200 of the 2012-2013 NABI buses will be rebuilt at the Central Maintenance Facility in Newark over two years. These buses will receive new engines and transmissions, seating, and HVAC systems. They will also be repainted.

Movement History

All buses were originally assigned to ONE BUS/Olympia Trails for local service, which was discontinued on October 8, 2023, with the buses assigned to ONE BUS service (6539-6547, 6549) returning to NJT. 6545 was reassigned to Fairview while the rest were held at Olympia Trails garage until February 2024 when they began to be transferred to the Meadowlands overflow lot to prepare for NJT service. They began being assigned to Fairview (6539-6543, 6546), and Orange (6544, 6547). 6541 began at Meadowlands before quickly being moved to Fairview.
