New Jersey Transit 6850 was a 1977 MCI MC-8 coach. It was originally delivered to McKillican Coach Lines, and was purchased used from Murray Hill.

In the early years of New Jersey Transit, many second-hand coaches were purchased to provide service until a new fleet of custom-built cruiser buses were delivered (6100-6799). The used buses were repainted into the standard NJ Transit livery of the time, featuring diagonal blue, purple and orange stripes.
