New Jersey Transit 7121-7187 were 2008 Motor Coach Industries D4500CL buses built in 2007.
These buses feature Caterpillar C13 engines, and Allison B500 transmissions. Buses 7167-7187 are equipped with lavatories.

History
Order
NJ Transit authorized the purchase of these buses with Certificates of Participation, making them eligible for a cross-border lease with the Royal Bank of Scotland, as no federal funding applies to these buses.
Movement History
In January 2015, 7175-7179 were transferred to Egg Harbor from Meadowlands. 7176-7179 also briefly operated out of Egg Harbor in early 2012.
In June 2021, several Meadowlands units were transferred to Wayne. By late 2021, Wayne had buses 7132-7134, 7136, 7171, and 7173 from Meadowlands. All remaining active units operated out of Wayne garage by late 2023.
Retirement History
Retirements began in 2018 with the higher lavatory units from Egg Harbor (7179-7187) being retired due to high mileage. The non-lavatory units began retirement in 2021 with the arrival of newer buses. In the spring of 2022, 7135 was preserved by the Friends of the NJ Transportation Heritage Center and 7176 was relegated to a training bus at CMF. Retirements increased in 2023 due to 2021 cruisers from private operators being returned to NJ Transit. The final unit (7132) was retired on May 31, 2024.
