New Jersey Transit 7201-7214
New Jersey Transit 7201-7214 were 2012-2013 DesignLine ECOCoach 45-foot CNG cruiser buses.
These buses featured Cummins Westport ISL G engines, and ZF 6AP1400B transmissions.

History
On July 13, 2011, NJ Transit entered into a contract with DesignLine, a New Zealand-based bus builder with a plant in Charlotte, North Carolina, for the purchase of 76 cruiser buses to run on CNG that would replace the 1999-2000 MCI cruisers at Howell Garage. Total price for the 76 buses was $45,562,284. 52 of the buses would be funded through a FTA Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (“TIGER”) grant, while the others would be paid for through the Transportation Trust Fund.
After 13 buses were delivered during the first half of 2013, DesignLine shut down their United States operations; two weeks later the company filed for bankruptcy protection. NJ Transit terminated the DesignLine contract on November 7, 2013, after entering into a new agreement with Motor Coach Industries to build 147 new CNG cruisers. However, the few DesignLine buses delivered to NJ Transit continued to run in revenue service out of Howell Garage until the end of 2014. All buses except for 7205 are now stored at the NJ Transit lot on Tonnelle Ave in North Bergen, NJ. They began being marked for scrap beginning in August 2024.
