Ironbound is one of the New Jersey Transit's 18 depots. This garage mainly handles routes in Newark, Ironbound, Elizabeth, and Woodbridge areas. It is the main shop complex which replaced the old garages in Newark at Ferry Street Shops and Lake Street Shops, and the old Elizabeth garage in 1997.
