Market Street is one of the New Jersey Transit's 18 depots. It mainly handles routes in the Paterson area. It is NJ Transit's oldest operating garage since opening in 1903. It is currently undergoing a renovation.[1]

The 2016 Amazon Studios movie Paterson, directed by Jim Jarmusch and starring Adam Driver as a bus driver coincidentally named Paterson, was filmed in part in and around Market Street Garage, but using prop buses rather than actual NJ Transit equipment. For the movie, a fictitious "23 Paterson" bus route was also created.

Fleet

NJT garage fleets fluctuate often. Therefore, it is impossible to always provide an up-to-date list of buses assigned to the garage, and the table is not always guaranteed to be correct.
