Oriole GO Station is a GO Transit train station located in Toronto, ON. It is west of Leslie Street, underneath Highway 401.
The main platform is located on the east side of the tracks, with the parking lot entirely underneath the 401 and the station building south of it. Tickets are available during morning rush hours from the station; otherwise, a Ticket Vending Machine is available.
History
Oriole GO Station opened for service on May 1, 1978, along with the Richmond Hill line. It has seen relatively few changes since opening.
With the opening of the Sheppard Subway in 2002, it was proposed to move Oriole GO Station further north to Sheppard Ave. and provide a direct connection with Leslie Station.
GO bus service provided by route 61C serving Old Cummer and Oriole GO Stations was eliminated in April 2010. The change was due to it being considered a 'local' service (running completely within the City of Toronto), and additional buses were required for the new train-bus on the Georgetown Line.
Connecting routes
Passengers can walk approximately 1km north on Old Leslie Street to reach the bus terminal of Leslie Station, where connections are available to Line 4 and route 51, and to Sheppard Avenue to connect to route 85.
