The Philadelphia Rapid Transit Company is a former mass-transit provider for the City of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

History

The Philadelphia Rapid Transit Company was the primary public transit operator in Philadelpha, Pennsylvania from 1902 until 1939, when it was succeeded by the Philadelphia Transportation Company on January 1st, 1940.
