The Rockhill Trolley Museum, also known by the corporate name Railways to Yesterday, Inc. is a transit museum, located in the town of Rockill Furnace in South Central Pennsylvania. The Rockhill Trolley Museum is also next door to the narrow-gauge East Broad Top Railroad.
History
The Rockhill Trolley Museum is notable as Pennsylvania's oldest operating trolley museum.
Historical timeline
- 1960: Rockhill Trolley Museum formed, under the name of Railways to Yesterday, Inc. The first trolley acquired for the museum is Johnstown Traction Company trolley 311.
- 1990: Acquisition of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority car 205, a J. G. Brill Company "Bullet" rapid-transit car. It is the only type of its kind, presently in operation.
