San Francisco International Airport Parking Shuttle 81xx

San Francisco International Airport Parking Shuttle 8101-8141 were 1981 model GMC RTS-04 (T8J-204) buses built in 1980-1981. They were purchased from Transit Sales International in 1998. There were approximately 40 units. An extra unit may have been acquired as a result of one being involved in a wreck. Complete Coach Works rehabbed and converted the buses into airport shuttles specifically for SFO's purchase. They were originally built for Southern California Rapid Transit District (later Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority). They were purchased for the new rental car facility that opened up at SFO in 1998 and ran as rental car shuttles until the AirTrain opened in 2003.

26 units transferred to Oakland International Airport in 2003 upon the opening of their consolidated rental car facility. They were still operated by San Francisco Parking Inc. DBA SFO Shuttle Bus Company while at OAK.
