Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority 801-850 were 1987 UTDC SLRVs.
Most units were assembled at the old San Jose Steel facility near the former Western Pacific Railroad yard. Retired in 2003.
19 units were sold to Sacramento RT in 2003. They were stored until 2015, when they were stored for years, then (minor) rehabbed by Siemens and put into service. They became their 300 series units. They were stored during the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
29 units were sold to UTA as 1041-1069 in 2006.
