Société de transport de Montréal Centre de transport Saint-Laurent
Centre de transport Saint-Laurent (60) is the division that serves the western part of Montréal island. It is located at 3000 rue Guénette, Montréal, Québec.
Overview
In the 1980s, as demands of bus service gradually increase in the western part of the island, the CTCUM responded by building a garage in the industrial sectors of Saint-Laurent. Constructions begun in October 1983, and is built in a similar fashion to CT Anjou. The garage begun operation on March 4, 1985, which coincides with the closure of Charlevoix and Saint-Paul divisions.[1]
In order to house 300 buses purchased under the Plante administration, the garage underwent an expansion in order to increase the capacity by 52 buses. For this purpose, the employee parking lot is relocated to the basement of the expansion. Constructions were finalized in 2021.[2]
