Located near 3rd Avenue & University Street in Seattle, Smyphony Station provides access to the central part of Seattle's downtown core, including many high-density residential and commercial buildings, as well as the Seattle Public Library. The station serves several local King County Metro bus routes and suburban bus services operated by Sound Transit, Community Transit and King County Metro.

  • September 15, 1990 - Station opened alongside the rest of the Downtown Seattle Transit Tunnel, operating as a station for buses only
  • September 24, 2005 - Station and tunnel temporarily closed to allow for modifications to being light rail service
  • September 24, 2007 - Station and tunnel reopened
  • July 18, 2009 - Light rail service begins
  • March 23, 2019 - Buses removed from tunnel, converting services to rail only
