South Coast Area Transit or SCAT was a public transit agency that served the cities of Ventura, Oxnard, Port Hueneme and Ojai in Ventura County, California. It was renamed Gold Coast Transit in 2007.

History
SCAT was formed by a Joint Powers Agreement between Ventura, Oxnard, Port Hueneme and Ojai on July 17, 1973 and began operations on November 4, 1973. Oxnard Municipal Transit Lines and Ventura Transit Lines were merged together to form SCAT.
