The Sportscoach Transcoach was a small transit bus built off of the Dodge RM400 and Ford M500 chassis. The Transcoach was a spin-off of the Gillig Microcoach line, which had ended in 1974.[1] It was used as Sportscoach's entry into the small transit bus market after exclusively building motor home bodies and truck bodies. A built-in wheelchair lift was included as an optional selection.
