Steeles is a vivastation located at the intersection of Yonge Street and Steeles Avenue in Markham and Vaughan, ON.

At approximately 1,630 passengers on an average weekday, Steeles is the 10th busiest transit passenger loading location in the YRT/Viva network according to the 2013 Transportation Fact Book. This is an increase from approximately 1,360 weekday passengers from the 2011 Transportation Fact Book.

Northbound:

• Located on Yonge Street just north of Steeles Avenue East, the station consists of a double-length thin-sized shelter. Its stop number is 9770.

Southbound:

• Located on Yonge Street just north of Steeles Avenue West, the station consists of a regular shelter with no fare machine. Its stop number is 9817. Buses are only allowed to pick up passengers if they intend to transfer to a GO route or another YRT route at Finch Station.

History

Steeles opened on September 4, 2005 as part of phase 1 of Viva service. It originally served Viva Blue, and Viva Pink was added January 2, 2006 as part of phase 4.
