History

  • November 27, 2006 - Route introduced, merging routes 810 and 820 into a singular route that bypasses Livonia (except for a very small portion along Grand River) due to that community opting out of SMART.
  • January 6, 2014 to September 29, 2014 - Service is detoured to 5 Mile Road and Telegraph Road due to long-term construction on Interstate 96.
  • September 3, 2018 - Express trip that bypasses the Fenton Park & Ride lot is eliminated.
  • January 7, 2019 - New "super express" trips added in the PM peak, servicing Washington Boulevard between West Jefferson Avenue and Congress Street, Congress Street between Washington Boulevard and M-10, M-10 between Congress Street and Interstate 75 and Interstate 75 between M-10 and Interstate 96.
  • September 11, 2023 - Route is extended into Novi via Grand River Avenue, Novi Road, and 12 Mile Road to the park & ride lot near Beck Road. This service change is the result of Oakland County moving into a countywide opt-in model that was approved by voters in the November 2022 general election.
  • October 16, 2023 - Route is temporarily cut back to 12 Mile Road and Novi Road.
