Toronto Emergency Medical Services bus fleet

The Toronto Emergency Medical Services bus fleet consists of buses called Emergency Response Units (ESU). They are used to respond to all emergency incidents with the potential of multiple casualties such as apartment fires, airport or aircraft incidents, and bus or train incidents.
Many of the older buses previously used were originally lettered for Metro Toronto Ambulance (or Metropolitan Toronto Ambulance Service). Some units were designated MPU for "Multi Patient Unit", ESU for "Emergency Support Unit" and COMM for Communications unit.
