Toronto Transit Commission 8740-8985 were GMDD T6H-5307N "New Look" buses built in 1982-1983. These buses were the last New Looks ordered by the TTC as well as their largest order placed with General Motors.

History
Order
The contract, announced in July 1982, was valued at $35,116,865.[1] These buses were delivered in the "CLRV" livery used from the 1980s into the 1990s and were delivered with rollsigns. Like the previous batch of New Looks, the interior colour scheme was cream and brown.
As part of a fleet-wide retrofit, all units had their rollsigns replaced with Luminator Matrix:MAX flip-dot signs in the early 1990s.
Rebuild/Retirement
The buses received their 12-year rebuild between 1995 and 1998. As part of their 12-year rebuild, the buses received a number of other features. The driver's area was enlarged, which took up one passenger seat, and a blacked-out effect acrylic divider was installed to accommodate the new driver's seat. The steering wheel was also replaced with a more modern one and power steering was added to assist drivers in turning. Passenger seats had their padded brown vinyl inserts replaced with un-padded red fabric ones. After receiving body work, the buses were given a fresh coat of paint giving the buses the TTC's current livery.
By the end of 2004, all buses had completed the 18-year Heavy Rebuild Program and were renumbered consecutively to 2240-2485. 8821 was retired early due to an accident, and was not part of the Heavy Rebuild Program; therefore, no unit was renumbered to 2321.
