Town Centre is a vivastation located at the intersection of Highway 7, Town Centre Boulevard and South Town Centre Boulevard in Markham, ON.

Basic

Eastbound:

• Located on the south side of the Highway 7 East Rapidway just west of South Town Centre Boulevard, the eastbound stop is the southern platform. Its stop number is 9740.

Westbound:

• Located on the north side of the Highway 7 East Rapidway just west of Town Centre Boulevard, the westbound stop is the northern platform. Its stop number is 9741.

History

Town Centre opened on September 4, 2005 as part of Viva phase 1. It originally served as the eastern terminus for Viva Purple until Viva phase 2, and Viva Pink was added January 2, 2006 as part of Viva phase 4.

Both stops were relocated multiple times during vivaNext construction. The eastbound stop was relocated from Highway 7 just west of South Town Centre Boulevard to South Town Centre Blvd south of Highway 7 on October 3, 2012, then relocated again to Highway 7 just west of Courtyard Lane on November 18, 2013. The westbound stop was relocated from South Town Centre Boulevard just south of Highway 7 to the northeast corner on November 18, 2013.

The second section of the Highway 7 East rapidway opened on August 24, 2014, which included the opening of the Town Centre rapidway stations.
