The SkyTrain Operations and Maintenance Centre is located at 6800 14th Avenue, Burnaby, British Columbia. The facility opened in 1985 with the launch of the Expo Line. Known as OMC, or sometimes as OMC1, this facility is responsible for most of the parking and maintenance of the fleet. All major and minor maintenance is done here (in addition to other light maintenance and parking at OMC3). The central control for both the Expo and Millennium lines are based at this facility, and trains for both lines are parked and maintained here.
OMC2
Across Southridge Drive is OMC2, a facility owned by TransLink and British Columbia Rapid Transit Company (BCRTC) where the 2001 Bombardier ART Mark II trains were constructed. Some refurbishment work for the Mark Is are done in this facility as well.
When the Mark IIIs arrived, they were unloaded at OMC2 for assembly.
Both OMC1 and OMC2 are connected by rail, which parallels the Expo Line and crosses over Southridge Drive. In the past, Community Shuttles from Coast Mountain Bus Company that were contracted out were parked in OMC2's parking lot.
However, OMC2 was not always under the ownership of TransLink/BCRTC. The facility was originally owned by Bombardier up until the completion of construction of the Mark IIs and was purchased by BC Transit in 2004. The facility was sold again the same year to Mac and Jac Clothing and again in 2005 to Dayhu Investments. In January 2015, TransLink bought the facility to address capacity issues at OMC1 and for the Mark I refurbishment project and other SkyTrain related maintenance operations. By February 2015, repairs and upgrades started at OMC2, which included the installation of a paint booth and restored rail connection to OMC1.
Rolling Stock
OMC1 maintains all of the Expo Line's fleet and some of the Millennium Line's fleet. The Millennium Line fleet is spread across OMC1 and OMC3.

Future Expansion
To address future fleet expansion, TransLink in 2018 began looking for potential solutions to address the capacity problems at OMC1. The solutions presented so far is either to modify the existing facility to accommodate more cars or to expand and construct new bays for the maintenance of the fleet. Other possible solutions include expanding to other locations and municipalities for the construction of another facility near the Expo and Millennium lines.
