Mount Pleasant is a planned SkyTrain station in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Station Details

Mount Pleasant Station is one of five planned stations along the Millennium Line's Broadway Subway extension. The station will be located at the intersection at E. Broadway & Main Street, serving the growing business and residential community of Mount Pleasant.

Dark grey cladding and reflective gold trim, combined with yellow cladding and white canopy folds to match the white aluminum wall panels will be used as part of the stationhouse design. Dark structural steel inside the station will be used to match the dark exterior frame. Although there will only be one entrance, provisions will be made to have a future second entrance facing Main Street.[1]

The station is still in its design and conceptual stage and is expected to open in 2025.

The City of Vancouver's Mount Pleasant Community Plan indicated that the station's original location would have been at the southeast corner of E. Broadway & Main Street, occupying an undeveloped parking lot site.[2] However, the Ministry of Transportation's Broadway Subway Project website and artist renderings showed that the station would be located on the southwest corner.[3][4]

Work on installing a traffic deck over E. Broadway took place starting in the summer of 2021 through to January 2022.

Bus Routes

It is expected that bus routes currently passing through the station's proposed location will continue to service the area once the station is complete in 2025, including the 99 B-Line for a brief time as both the Broadway Subway and 99 B-Line are expected to temporarily co-exist until bus service adjustments and changes take place.
