University of California, Santa Cruz 855, 856, 860, 868, 869, 870 were 1993 Gillig Phantom 40' (40/102TB6V92T) buses. They were purchased from San Mateo County Transit District in 2010. They were originally powered by Detroit Diesel 6V92TA engines with Allison HTB-748 transmissions, but were repowered while at SamTrans.
