UTA FrontRunner 301-325 are 1971 Pullman-Standard Comet I cars.

Soon after opening of the initial FrontRunner North line, ridership grew above expectations, and crowding began to occur. To add additional capacity quickly and inexpensively, UTA purchased twenty-five Comet I cars from NJ Transit. These cars were overhauled by Bombardier at UTA's shops before entering service.

When operating in service, one Comet car is typically placed immediately behind the locomotive, with 2-3 BiLevel cars following.
