The Van Hool C3045 is a 45-foot, low floor commuter coach. Its design is unique in that it has the front end of a low floor Van Hool transit bus and a much higher rear section that is similar in design to a Van Hool motorcoach. The C3045 was designed in co-operation with AC Transit of California to develop a specialized intercity bus.

A request for proposals was made in May 2008 for the purchase of "45-foot low entry suburban style commuter buses". Interest was expressed by several manufacturers, but the only proposal received was from Van Hool.[1] A rendering appeared on the Van Hool website in late 2009, and it was indicated that the model was under development. By the end of February 2010, the first prototype was completed and ready for delivery to the United States.[2]

This coach was tested and decaled for AC Transit, but never entered service. On February 22, 2011, it was put up for auction for $200,000[3] and eventually purchased by Mountain View Tours. The C3045 project was soon abandoned.
