14 Victoria General / UVic is a frequent route operated by Victoria Regional Transit System in Greater Victoria, BC.
Route description
Route 14 connects the communities of View Royal, Esquimalt, Victoria West, and Downtown Victoria. Its western terminal is Victoria General Hospital, and its eastern terminal is the University of Victoria. It also serves Oak Bay Junction, Royal Jubilee Hospital, and Camosun College Lansdowne Campus. Extra short-turn service operates between UVic and Downtown only when the University of Victoria is in full session.
It is designated as a frequent route, operating every 15 minutes or better from 7am-7pm Monday to Friday.
History
- April 3, 2020: Late-night service on Fridays and Saturdays suspended as part of COVID 19-related service reductions [1]
- September 7, 2020: Late-night service re-introduced [2]
- July 3, 2023: Use of double deckers discontinued due to limited resources and being lower priority
- September 5, 2023: Late night service on Fridays and Saturdays extended [3]
