Visalia Transit
Visalia Transit (formerly Visalia City Coach) provides transit service to the city of Visalia, Farmersville, Goshen, and Exeter, all located in California's Central Valley. Visalia Transit operates twelve fixed routes under its own branding, and provides two intercity express routes, one to the city of Tulare (route 11X) that is operated in conjunction with Tulare Inter-Modal Express, and another to the city of Fresno under the V-Line branding. Visalia Transit also operates the Sequoia Shuttle which provides shuttle service within Sequoia National Park as well as intercity service to Visalia upon reservation. Lastly, Visalia Transit operates more specialty services such as the Visalia Towne Trolley tourist shuttle using trolley replica vehicles, the LOOP Bus which provides shuttle services for youths to gang prevention programs, and Dial-A-Ride paratransit service using cutaways. All bus operations are currently contracted to Transdev North America.
History
- Established in 1981 as Visalia City Coach.
- On April 17, 2010, this bus system was rebranded as Visalia Transit.[1]
