The Volvo Buses B7R is a high floor bus chassis with a rear longitudially mounted vertical 7 litre engine. It is a popular chassis for tour buses and school buses, but not as popular for transit buses as low floor buses are prefered. The B7R's sister chassis, the Volvo Buses B7RLE, is a low floor or low entry chassis with the rear section of the B7R and front of the Volvo Buses B7L. With the introduction of the Euro 6 emission standard in 2014, the B7R was discontinued in Europe and replaced by the B8R. In 2017, Volvo launched the B8R globally and ended production of the B7R.
