Welland Transit provided public transportation in Welland, Ontario. Bus service was started in 1973 and was operated by a private company, Metro Niagara Transit. The city assumed full transit operations in 1977.^[1]

History

Operated by Metro Niagara Transit from 1973 until December 31, 1976.
Became the contract operator for transit in Port Colborne on March 31, 2008.
Operated transit service in Pelham as a one year trial from September 2008 until August 2009.
Effective January 1, 2023, local transit service in Welland was merged with St. Catharines Transit and Niagara Falls Transit into Niagara Region Transit.

Routes

Maps & Schedules As of September 2018, route numbers were modified and changed to 3 digits (in the 500-series), in anticipation of Niagara Region Transit assuming transit responsibilities for Welland Transit and other Niagara region agencies. In January, 2023, the anticipation came to fruition, carrying the same numbering structure.
