Welland Transit 1165-1166

Welland Transit/Niagara Region Transit 1165-1166 are Arboc Spirit of Freedom (SOF 27) bodied buses on Chevrolet G4500 chassis built in 2017.

They were ordered to replace 1147-1148. 1165 was mainly assigned to the Port Colborne Community Bus, while 1166 was mainly assigned on route 504; following delivery of 1170-1171, both units would see alternating service in Port Colborne. Ownership was transferred to Niagara Region Transit effective January 1, 2023; shortly afterwards, they were transferred to Niagara Falls for use on route 22. They were spotted back in Welland by late 2023, in use as WellTrans buses (and in occasional conventional service during emergency shortages).
