Wichita Transit is the public transport provider to the city of Wichita, Kansas. It connects at the Wichita Transit Center in Downtown Wichita with Greyhound Lines (northeast to Topeka, and south to Oklahoma City) and BeeLine Express (a subcontractor to Greyhound, north to Salina, KS and west to Pueblo, CO).
Wichita Transit presently maintains a fleet of approximately 51 conventional transit buses and approximately 26 para-transit vans. All Wichita Transit buses are equipped with free wi-fi and bike racks.

- 1962: The city of Wichita takes over public transit from private interests, through its Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) through a hub-and-spoke system focused on downtown Wichita.
- 1980's: System renamed Wichita Transit.
- 2016: Greyhound closes its bus terminal and moves operations to the Wichita Transit building.

- Half-fare day pass - $2.50
- Weekly Pass (seven consecutive days) - $25.00
- Monthly - $55.00
- Paratransit 10-ride - $34.00
- Paratransit 20-ride - $68.00
Westside feeder fares are separate from conventional services.
- Feeder Fare (transferring to a bus route): Base Fare $1.00; Monthly Pass FREE; Half-fare $.50
- Feeder Zone Fare (within one zone-no transfer): Base Fare $2.00; Monthly Pass $1.00; Half-fare $1.00
- Feeder Zone-Zone Fare (zone to zone-no transfer): Base Fare $3.00; Monthly Pass $2.00; Half-fare $1.50
Note: No transfers are accepted between conventional service buses. Fares are good for one trip. Once the bus starts the return trip at the end of the route, a new fare is required. All routes are combined into pairs. No transfer is required from end-to-end on the paired routes. For routes that are paired, only one fare is required to ride from end-to-end.
