Winter Park Transit, also known as "The Lift" provides public transit service in the towns of Winter Park and Fraser, Colorado.

History

Transit service in Winter Park was previously provided by the Winter Park Resort, which contracted out operations to First Transit. In November 2015, a sales tax increase was approved by residents of Winter Park and Fraser for transit improvements. This allowed Winter Park Transit to be formed in 2016, taking over operations from the Winter Park Resort. Initially, buses were leased from First Transit; however the town later acquired its own fleet of refurbished buses as well as purchasing new low floor buses. [1] Transdev assumed operations for Winter Park Transit in 2023 following its takeover of First Transit.
