The Wright StreetCar is a low floor, articulated transit bus that was developed specifically for FirstGroup's ftr bus rapid transit service. The bus was designed with a tram-like aesthetic to increase its appeal. The StreetCar is built on a customized Volvo B9LA chassis (initially the Volvo B7LA).
A left hand drive, diesel-electric hybrid version, dubbed the StreetCar RTV, was built for the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada. It was built on a chassis provided by Carrosserie Hess and used the ISE Corporation hybrid system. It was introduced at the 2008 APTA Expo.
