York Region Transit 1770-1774 are 2017 model Nova Bus LFS Artic buses built in 2016. They are painted in Viva colours and used exclusively in Viva service.
The difference from the previous batch is 4th generation rear design along with a EPA 2013 compliant engine and installation of an exterior camera at rear. Inside, there are lack of grey fabric covering the interior of the articulation corridor.
Delivery of these buses started in March 2017, in anticipation of the opening of the Spadina subway extension; however, they did not enter service until July/August 2017 as a result of the opening date being pushed back to December 2017.
These buses operate primarily on Viva Blue, Viva Purple, and Viva Orange.
