York Region Transit 2048-2052 were MCI TC40-102A "Classic" buses built and delivered in 1990.
They were originally from Markham Transit and acquired by YRT during amalgamation in 2001. They retained their original fleet numbers.
The air-conditioning on these units had been disconnected. These buses were retrofitted with Luminator Matrix:MAX signs in 2006, unlike their 1989 cousins who kept their original rollsigns.
These buses were retired upon delivery of the 901-945 series of buses.
These buses were normally found on school specials; they also appeared on routes 1 Highway 7, 2 Milliken, 2A 14th Ave, 8 Kennedy, 9 9th Line, 18 Bur Oak, 40 Unionville Local, 41 Markham Local and GO shuttles.
