Route Details
AM: Route begins at Joe Dales Drive and Laurendale Avenue then operates over the former route 51 looping until Walter Drive and The Queensway South. It then continues north on The Queensway South, east on Biscayne Boulevard past the school, then loops via Woodbine Avenue, Wexford Drive, Natanya Boulevard, Carrick Avenue, Spring Road, The Queensway South, Simcoe Avenue, Metro Road South and The Queensway South, Riverglen Drive, Oakmeadow Boulevard, and west on Biscayne Boulevard to terminate at the school.
PM: From the school, this route operates east on Biscayne Boulevard and follows the AM looping back to the school, then continues west on Biscayne Boulevard, south on The Queensway South to Joe Dales Drive, where it follows the AM looping. The afternoon trip terminates on Walter Drive at The Queensway South.
History
- September 5, 2004 - Route 424 started service, operating on a clockwise loop via Biscayne Boulevard, The Queensway South, Metro Road South, Simcoe Avenue, The Queensway South, Church Street, Natanya Boulevard, Wexford Drive, and Woodbine Avenue to Biscayne Boulevard.
- September 3, 2006 - The clockwise loop became a counterclockwise loop in the 2006 school season.
- March 3, 2014 - Route 424 was extended to the south end of Keswick via the route 51 routing.
- August 25, 2014 - Northern routing is adjusted to operate along Carrick Avenue, Spring Road, and The Queensway South instead of Church Street. Service is rerouted to operate via Biscayne Boulevard and The Queensway South instead of Woodbine Avenue and Glenwoods Avenue.
