On-Request 'Newmarket' was an on-request service operated by York Region Transit in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada.
Route Details
This service provided on-request pick-up and drop-off between any fixed address within the service area and the closest YRT stop or select location along Yonge Street or Davis Drive.
The service area was bounded by the following streets:
- North - Green Lane
- East - Highway 404
- South - St. John's Sideroad
- West - Bathurst Street
Service was provided on weekdays from 10:00 AM to 1:45 PM and 7:00 PM to 10:45 PM, and on weekends from 8:00 AM to 10:45 PM.
History
- September 4, 2022 - On-Request service is introduced as a merging of the MOR Bristol and MOR Gorham-Eagle on-request services. The new MOR Newmarket service will provide service between any address within the Newmarket area to the closest YRT bus stop along Yonge Street or Davis Drive. This service is different from MOR Newmarket Local which mainly service apartment buildings.
- June 30, 2024 - This service is merged with On-Request Aurora-Oak Ridges to create the new On-Request Newmarket-Aurora-Oak Ridges. As a result, On-Request Newmarket is dicontinued.
Vehicles
As an On-Request service, there was no bus service. All services are provided by passenger vehicles with YRT markings.
