History
- 2001 - YRT implemented route 10 in 2001 to provide extra service on Islington Avenue, Woodbridge Avenue, Martin Grove Road, Rutherford Road, Langstaff Road, and Ansley Grove Road, and to provide a direct link between Woodbridge and York University. Its original routing provided a large on-street loop from Islington Avenue and Langstaff Road via Islington Avenue, Woodbridge Avenue, Martin Grove Road, Highway 27, Rutherford Road, and Islington Avenue, then used Langstaff Road, Ansley Grove Road, Winges Road, Weston Road, and Steeles Avenue West to York University. Initially, it only operated during rush hours. Service was suspended during the summer for the first few years it was operated, due to the drop in ridership when classes at York University were out.
- May 8, 2005 - All-day weekday and Saturday service was introduced.
- November 10, 2005 - All-day Sunday and holiday service was introduced.
- November 6, 2008 - Route 10 was affected by the York University strike between November 6, 2008 and January 29, 2009.
- July 3, 2011 - Due to subway construction, bus service into York University was moved to Keele Street instead of Founders Road.
- April 23, 2012 - Route is revised to no longer serve the industrial area in the Pine Valley/Highway 7 area with service removed from Rowntree Dairy Road, Winges Road, Whitmore Road, and Ansley Grove Road south of Blue Willow Drive. Buses instead operate via Blue Willow Drive and Weston Road to Steeles Avenue East.
- July 1, 2012 - Route 10 was merged with route 11. This removed the large on-street loop through Woodbridge in favour of two-way service along Woodbridge Ave. The portion of the route along Highway 27 and Rutherford Rd. was replaced by an extension of route 7. Every second trip uses Langstaff Rd. and Kipling Ave. to loop, which originally only saw service for school specials.
- December 2012 - Route 10 was declared fully accessible.
- June 30, 2013 - Route 10 was renamed from "York University-Woodbridge" to "Woodbridge".
- April 20, 2014 - Due to low ridership on weekends, weekend service was replaced by dial-a-ride services. Dial-a-ride service provides service to all stops west of Weston Road and Highway 7 and will operate between 10:00am and 8:00pm on Saturdays, and from 9:30am to 8:00pm on Sundays/Holidays.
- August 1, 2017 - Dial-a-Ride service on the route is separated into its own distinct service and is now known as Dial-a-Ride Woodbridge.
- December 17, 2017 - With the opening of the Line 1 subway extension to Vaughan, route 10 was rerouted to terminate at the new Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Station, and no longer directly serves York University. Dial-a-Ride Woodbridge service was also revised to reflect the new route 10 routing.
- November 3, 2019 - With the opening of the new SmartCentres Place Bus Terminal at Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Station, buses on the route now terminates there.
- April 5, 2020 - Route 10 was one of the lower ridership routes temporarily suspended due to the COVID-19 ridership downturn, and was replaced by the new On-Request Woodbridge service which operates during the weekdays from 9:30am to 7:45pm.
- September 2021 - Limited service morning and late morning/early afternoon school tripper runs were introduced to coincide with schools reopening on reduced hours due to COVID. Primary service is still suspended. After two months, the school tripper runs were discontinued effective early November due to low ridership.
- April 28, 2024 - Service during rush hour is reinstated, albeit on a modified routing. Service along Ansley Grove Road, Islington Avenue north of Willis Drive, and Langstaff Road east of Islington Avenue is discontinued, with route 10 rerouted to serve Chancellor Drive and Willis Drive instead. Also, buses no longer alternate routing in Woodbridge, additionally discontinuing service along Forest Drive. Buses now loop around Woodbridge in a clockwise direction, operating along Woodbridge Avenue, Martin Grove Road, Langstaff Road, and Kipling Avenue.
