History
- 2001 - When York Region Transit was formed, route 9 was transferred over from Markham Transit's route 9 'Markham Rd'.
- May 12, 2002 - Service hours expanded to operate all day on weekdays, and new Saturday service is introduced.
- September 3, 2002 - Route 9 was discontinued and replaced with the new TTC-contracted route 102D.
