American Bus Lines Inc.
American Bus Lines Inc. is a bus company in the Florida area. The company was originally American Sightseeing Tours and Red Top. It was also a Greyhound affailate. American Sightseeing Tours and Red Top companies were Greyhound subsidiaries.
They briefly used a blue paint scheme in the early 1980s. The company changed it's name from American Sightseeing Tours to American Bus Lines, and also sported a new livery in the form of a large white stripe, with a red and blue stripe. This was done to distance itself from Greyhound, following its bankruptcy in 1990.
American was eventually bought out by Coach USA in the late 1990s. The entire fleet, with the exception of it's 96A2s, 102A3s, and Van Hools, were retired between 1998-1999, and sold to ABC Companies.
