Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority, currently branded as TheRide and abbreviated as AAATA, is the public transit system serving the cities of Ann Arbor, and Ypsilanti, Michigan, plus several Washtenaw County townships and to nearby communities through express services.

History

  • Previous transit operator was Ann Arbor City Transit from 1968-1969.
  • Known as Ann Arbor Transportation Authority (AATA) prior to 2013. The name change came after the city of Ypsilanti joined the AATA board.
