Groupe Autobus Auger acquired Autocars Tradition in 2003 and renamed this new subsidiary Autocars Québec. As holders of contracting responsibilities for the Ville de Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures public transit, the Réseau de transport de la Capitale awarded operation to Autocars Québec. However the RTC took over transit operations on June 14, 2008.

After the RTC take-over of operations, Autocars Québec buses were transferred to Groupe Autobus Auger subsidiary Autocars des Chutes.
