The Big Red Bullet was a limited-stop, direct express bus service that operated between Ithaca and New York City in the state of New York.

The Big Red Bullet notes that they are an independent company, not affiliated with any universities in the Ithaca and New York City areas.

The company ceased operations following a fatal accident in which the Big Red Bullet driver was charged with homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence.[1]

History

Service commenced September 23, 2015. The FMCSA issued Big Red Bullet an out-of-service order in late January 2019 and the company shut down shortly thereafter.[2]

Routes

Ithaca (Green Str./Ithaca Commons) > New York (Bryant Park): six times weekly, except Saturday, two round-trips on each operating day

Fares

  • $ 55.00 (ow) Monday through Thursday.
  • $ 65.00 (ow) Friday and Sunday.
